Ruby laser · Bison Medical
RubyStar
694 nm Q-switched ruby for pigmented lesions and multicolor tattoos.

What it is
RubyStar is a Q-switched ruby laser emitting at 694 nm. That wavelength is highly absorbed by melanin and poorly by oxyhemoglobin and water, which is why it is used for epidermal and dermal pigmented lesions.
According to the manufacturer, it also treats multicolor tattoos, including black, dark blue and green, and penetrates deeper than 532 nm, making it useful for freckles, café-au-lait spots and other dark lesions.
